Renewable Energy now, not more Coal!
Mon June 16, 8am
In front of Stamford Plaza, cnr Edward & Margaret Sts, Brisbane
Join the "Peoples Renewable Energy Conference 08" outside the Stamford, in opposition to the $2600-a-head Coal conference that includes a massive collection of climate vandals (see http://www.tonkincorporation.com/?m=5&id=136&t=8#).
Speakout & street theatre (join the "billionaires for more coal" contingent!) from 8am-9am - open mic to have your save about the urgency for climate action, and to let those inside know what you think of their disregard for our planet.
Bring placards, banners, colour and more to call for:
* Planet not profit - phase out coal
* No coal is "clean coal"
* Renewable energy now!
"Coal-fired electricity is by far the worst offender regarding
climate change - so the top
