THIS SATURDAY - INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY
Join in the Resistance contingent at this year's International
Women's Day rally and march (details below). The rally starts at
10:30AM at Queens Park, which is cnr George & Elizabeth Sts, City
(round the back of the Treasury Casino). As a feminist organisation,
Resistance has been involved in the preparation for the day and will be
actively involved with banners, placards, and a discussion on Feminism
& Socialism after the march, which will include a brainstorm on
ideas for our women's liberation campaigning this year. Be a part of
it! This year's rally raises some important demands, including the
decriminalisation of abortion, which (unbelievably) is still on QLD's
criminal code!! Barbara Shaw will also be a guest at the event -
Barbara is a leader in the campaign to end the racist Northern
Territory Intervention.Call Lauren for more info 0419 603 018
