Five years after the US-led invasion of Iraq, imperialism is being challenged on all fronts: from the Iraqi resistance, the Palestinian struggle, to the growing opposition to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan in the First World. However, the biggest challenge to the imperialist agenda is in Latin America, where the Venezuelan revolution is showing that there is an alternative to the current system of wars and global exploitation.
