Our future is uncertain. We live in a world in which the relentless drive for profits is killing the very environment we depend on to survive. War, poverty, racism and oppression dominate the lives of millions. We are told we are powerless to change this. But together we have the power to change the world. We're taking action today, because tomorrow is too late.

Resistance is about fighting injustice today to build a sustainable and just world for the future. Resistance's national conference brings together activists from around Australia and the world to discuss, plan and build radical movements for justice, equality and sustainability.

Meet and hear from active Australian and international guest speakers:

  • Richard Downs, spokesperson for the Alyawarr people from the Ampilatwatja walk off;
  • Ammar Ali Jan, anti-war activist from radical the Labour Party Pakistan;
  • Rachel Evans from Community Action Against Homophobia;
  • Isaac Shuisha, Israeli citizen and Palestine solidarity activist;
  • Matthew Wright from Beyond Zero Emissions, who put together a plan that aims to give a blueprint for a 10-year transition to zero-emissions for the whole economy;
  • norrie mAy-welby, who became the first person in the world to hold a "sex non-specified" birth certificate;
  • Seran Sribalan, Tamil rights campaign leader;
  • Saradha Nathan, the refugee rights campaigner recently detained in Merak;
  • Nick Southall, long-time community activist in Wollongong;
